spain travel agent, spain travel packageI was talking to a Spain travel agent the other day about traveling to Spain to sample the native cuisine. I was perusing a cookbook about Spanish food, and it looks so good, I thought that it would be fun to go to sample what the local residents eat and drink. Spain raises tremendous amounts of wonderful mediterranean foods, like tomatoes, peppers, olives, summer squashes, and garlic. Their climate is perfect for warm weather vegetables, and the Spain travel agent said the best time to eat fresh, locally grown food was in the months of July, August, and September. Since those are peak travel months in Europe, chances are the only way we can really afford a trip there is to use a Spain travel package, where the travel agent has negotiated better rates with the hotels than we possibly could on our own. Language is a barrier for us, since we speak little Spanish. We will let the Spain travel agent to the legwork for us, and find a list of local restaurants that have a great reputation among locals, as well as finding acceptable hotels for reasonable rates.
